I have always been a romantic man and since I was a child I have always preferred stories with a happy ending. I loves the stories that ended with a wedding at the castle, with happy and contented newlyweds, after an exasperated story of struggles, adversity and vicissitudes.

Of course, this is a story where the protagonists was much less troubled but the magic was almost identical: a marriage in a castle is always a marriage in a castle. And the medieval castle of Titignano is a fairytale scenery.

The Castle of Titignano is located on a hill in the ancient village of Titignano, just outside Orvieto (Umbria). For a wedding video maker it is one of the most beautiful scenarios that can exist. It has another peculiarity that immediately caught our attention: it is a hidden castle until it reaches its walls. Let me explain better: climbing to the top from a road in the middle of a grove and cultivated fields, the castle cannot be seen in any way. It is also for this reason that as soon as we arrived in the small village we seemed to be in an enchanted place. A rainbow that cut across the sky made the landscape even more incredible, just behind the hills in the background.

Nathalie and Phil, the newlyweds, were waiting for us for a weekend of fun and celebration. Three days of food, wine and fun for just over fifty people. Me and my inseparable right-hand man (wedding videomaker like me, Vincenzo), knew that they would be three exciting days of work. we would have shared the “professional” weekend with Andrea Calvano, a long-time friend (as well as one of the best wedding photographers in Italy) and with Monia the super organizer of Mo Wedding.

Nathalie and Phil, coordinated by Monia, had planned everything in detail. The three days were so organized: relaxing Friday, where guests were free to walk in the medieval village of Titignano or relax by the pool. There is one thing that must never be lacking with the English people (and with the Italians in our case): it’s beer. And that days, beer and wine flowed freely for everyone’s delight. Saturday was the day for the wedding in the castle: the civil ceremony took place on the spectacular terrace overlooking the hills, the speeches of friends and relatives – as usual – followed one another quickly. The lunch in the garden of the castle lasted until in the evening. We didn’t know yet what the night would have reserved but the surprise was really pleasant. A tunnel of the castle led us into a large hall: we found ourselves in a sensational wedding party, one of the most beautiful of which I can remember, with excellent music, plays of light and wild guests. Wonderful!

The next day he arrived early and served everyone to recover from the previous night and recharge his forces.

The wedding at the castle of Titignano will remain as one of my dearest memories
