From China with love, dreaming of Italy. I’m already anticipating that what you will see is not the usual wedding video of the ordinary wedding videographer, but a video engagement, a wedding promise with an all oriental flavor.

A tale that starts from afar, from a desire. No, maybe it’s a real dream.

The protagonist is Din, a young man from Hong Kong, in love with the sweetest Scarlett. A young couple of Chinese lovers, fascinated by the myth of the Belpaese and the Amalfi Coast. Din had been planning a romantic holiday in Italy for some time, a trip with a surprise to give to his Scarlett to discover the made in Italy. He had prepared everything in detail, including the fact that he wanted to make a video engagement that would not leave only to memories the task of keeping everything.

When he contacted me some time ago after seeing some of my works as a wedding videographer, he really amazed me with his intense passion and the originality of his love escape.

“My dear– he wrote to me – I’m looking for a wedding videographer on the Amalfi coast. I want to prepare a love getaway in Italy and ask for my girlfriend’s hand in marriage. She mustn’t know anything. Can you help me? I’d like an video engagement “.

The Travel

Scarlett didn’t know Din’s itinerary. All she knew was that she had to pack her bags and leave. Hong Kong-Rome, a 13-hour flight.

First Rome and its ” sweet life” among the nightlife places, Colosseum, Imperial Forums and along the Tiber. Then the trip south, to discover another masterpiece of history and nature. Matera, the ancient city of stones, which has also become very famous in China, the perfect setting for wedding videographers. From there, a stop in Puglia was a must.

Din and Scarlett were literally conquered by this land too. They stayed in the beautiful location of Borgo Egnazia in Savelletri, one of the most exclusive wedding destination in Italy, already wedding venue for vips and celebrities, before moving to the Amalfi Coast for the joyful ending. At Villa Cimbrone, location of beautiful weddings, in Ravello, Din would ask for Scarlett’s hand.

Villa Cimbrone in Ravello had shot to the top of the web rankings for destination weddings among young oriental couples after the American film Wonder Woman, set in that very area, hit the Chinese box office.

Destination Salerno, Sorrento Coast.

The Amalfi Coast was a blaze of colour. A natural painting where the yellow of the lemons shone between the green of the Mediterranean scrub and the bright white of the little houses among the rocks of the cliff.

A truly unique place in the world. Scarlett was enchanted by such beauty. She felt as if she had entered the big screen.

Din had seen us along, the “Divine Coast” was really the ideal location to make her wedding promise. The whole event had been organized by the brilliant and creative wedding designer Ines Napolitano of Mr and Mrs Wedding in Italy.

Ravello is one of the symbols of the Amalfi Coast. The sea cohabits with nature, history with culture.

Villa Cimbrone is today one of the most prestigious wedding locations in the Mediterranean. The noble patrician villa stands in a magnificent six-hectares green park in the historic centre of Ravello. Explosion of colors, sensations and scents. Moorish columns, stone mullioned windows, ancient Roman capitals.

Din and Scarlett were totally immersed in their dream, amazed by so much millenary beauty, suspended between sky and sea just a few steps from the edge of the “Terrace of Infinity”.

Time stopped the moment the young man bowed down to promise her his love.
