Just a few years ago I wouldn’t even have imagined it: being on the jury of one of the most important world contests for the best wedding videographer 2019. And I don’t think I’m exaggerating, if I say that Weva’s contest can be considered the world contest of wedding videomaker par excellence.

Little by little, Weva has become the world’s largest association of wedding videographers. I am truly honored to have been chosen for this important and delicate task.

Only four years ago I was participating in my first wedding fair as an independent wedding videographer. I had a lot of passion and a great desire to get involved. I wanted to make something of my own. I dreamed of being a “filmmaker”. Years have passed and pure marriages, satisfactions, mistakes, ups and downs. It has been and will be an impervious and difficult path, but fascinating and exciting. But today I can say that I am happy because I do what I like best.

Coming back talk of the Weva Award 2019. It is one of the most prestigious contests in the wedding video industry. Creative videographers from all over the world are ready to challenge each other to the sound of color, sound, effects, editing, storytelling. Judging the work, a jury composed of colleagues from various parts of the world.

I’ll be with them this year. Being on the other side of the fence flatters me and scares me. I realise that it will not be easy to choose from the many colleagues who have spent days and days making their films. I know what that means. It is always difficult to choose the best wedding videomaker because there is always something that fascinates you in every work done; in this case the level of competition is very high. Deciding that one film is more deserving than another is not at all easy. But certainly being awarded is always a great satisfaction: I still remember the pleasure and gratification of last year with the award of “Best Pilot 2018” or in 2017 with third place as “Best Videographer in Italy” and “Best Video Editor in Italy“. For every videomaker it is a great satisfaction.

It’s not often I get to dwell on the thanks. But this time I want to make an exception because I consider it a very important step.

For this I want to thank the whole association Weva, Dimitry Sedov and Daniele Paglia who have always believed in me since my debut. Their constant support has strengthened my abilities.

I sincerely thank my wife Morena (tireless co-worker) for having always walked me step by step in this exciting and long way (alone I would never have made it).

I want to dedicate a special thought to those who are always by my side every day and with which I want to share my goals: Vincenzo and the digital agency Artpuntocom.
